Obviously i have a lot of work to do in order to complete this list. as well as a fair amount of travelling to catch some of these. this list is not comprehensive by any stretch, nor is it final, as i'm sure i will always find more fish that i would like to catch. these are just the ones that i could think of off the top of my head.
again, obviously i've been thinking about fishing a lot lately. in fact, i've even taken to making some of my own leaders for certain species. basically taking a 20lb braid line and braiding three lengths into a 6-9 inch length, attaching a swivel and a snap swivel to each end. there we go. done and done. a great leader for species such as trout, walleye, or sturgeon. not so good with pike because of their teeth. but nonetheless, it keeps me busy.
this probably isn't the post that you were all waiting for. but, it'll have to do, because quite frankly, it's all you're getting for now.
4.5 months til the new fishing season opens. i know this one isn't over yet, but i can't wait to get out on the water, casting again. hopefully this year i'll be able to check off a few more species on the list.
ok. that's all i got for now.

I enjoy fishing but more the part about relaxing with the line in the water or casting out then to actually CATCH a fish. LOL. Probably mostly because I don't want to clean them. I miss my neighbor's trout which he always brought to me cleaned and ready to cook. He must not fish anymore. Should I bring my fishing pole when I come to visit?
I'm not going to lie to you. I understood about a third of that. I did catch that you miss fishing.
Peter taught me to fly fish and I LOVED it and didn't think I would at all. But I don't like to pull hooks from fish mouths, and until I do, he won't buy me a rod or let me come anymore. I guess it ruins the serenity of the moment when your silly wife is downstream yelling "PETE! I caught another one! Come set it free before it dies!! QUICK!" And flailing her rod about wildly.
I'm cool about fishing like that.
LOL.
K. Don't take this personal, but seriously, most boring post ever.
(Feel free to write that on the next post where I ramble on about Survivor or something else equally boring to you.)
My idea of fishing is sitting on the hood of Dad's boat with a life jacket for a cushion behind me on the windshield and a book and a bag of spitz. Dad wasn't allowed to bonk any fish when I went with him, he had to put them on that chain thing till I was far enough away not to even hear the sound of bonking. At least I was quiet, and there was no flailing.
So. Once I caught a fish. It was 2 pounds. I didn't want to touch it. It was the last fish I caught. That was about 14 years ago.
THE END.
Not gonna lie... I feel the same as Becky. Not into fishing at all. I just don't have the patience. But you know what I do like? Those rubbery lures that look like fish, and you drag them along in the water and make them jump and stuff, just like real fish! If you wanna catch halibut and sharks, you have to come here. JUST SAYIN.
